CHILDREN'S SUNDAY MORNING OPPORTUNITIES

We have two exciting opportunities for our children on Sunday mornings:

9:00 Live B.I.G. Sunday School

At 9:00 there are three Sunday School classes for children using the Live B.I.G. curriculum.

Early elementary: Kindergarten through 2nd grade

Older elementary:  3rd through 5th grade

Middle school:  6th through 8th grade

The Live B.I.G. curriculum--Hear, See and Live your Belief in God-- is based on three big truths:  Think B.I.G. because God is a great B.I.G. God.  God loves us with a great B.I.G. love.  We are part of God's great B.I.G. world.  Live B.I.G. classes are Bible lessons that include a DVD segment, "cool" music, and active learning that engages the children in their faith.

11:00 Puppet Ministry

The Puppet Ministry during the 11:00 service is open to students in grades K through 5.  The kids will start in the sanctuary and then be dismissed partway through the service. The ministry will be designed to serve others by presenting puppet skits during occasional Sunday services and special services. Hopefully it can be expanded to performances outside our church as well. We will grow in Christ by studying scriptures and Bible stories, and by adapting these to songs and skits for the puppet stage.  If you have questions or would like more information, contact Marilyn Bundy at rmbundy@me.com or phone her at 303.660.9213.

Scheduling Changes

Due to some changes in the look of the year, you will notice that February is not shaping up the way I had originally planned.  We will be doing Youth Sunday later in the year, so that shifted our February plans.  Thanks for understanding, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Winter Games - February 5

Due to low interest and availability to attend Youth Leadership Conference, we will be having regular youth group on Sunday, February 5th.  We will enjoy a night of fun filled games, some indoor and if it is not bitter cold, some outdoor, so please bring a coat and hat.

Movie & Discussion - February 19

For those of you who are not headed to the mountains for some Presidents Day Weekend Powder, we are going to have a fun afternoon outing for youth group that Sunday.  We will meet at the church at 2pm (unless otherwise announced, based on movie times), and go see a movie, in a local theatre.  We will then come back to the church for a short discussion.  More specific timing details will be announced closer to the date.  Each youth attending will need $10 to cover the ticket price.  Youth are more than welcome to get snacks as well, but will need to bring money to cover the costs.
