Who is Erie UMC, in nutshell?

Erie UMC is a friendly, hometown congregation!

Drawing on our rich heritage as Christians and as United Methodists, we worship through scripture, heartfelt sermons, and hymns accompanied by organ and piano. We sing joyfully, renew our spiritual well-being, and explore our faith. We welcome and accept people as family and offer a supportive community that encourages faith development.

About Us

Meet our Pastor, Rev. Anna Viehland!

Originally from Florida, Pastor Anna felt compelled to help others experience the same life-changing, unconditional love of God and began pursuing a call to ordained ministry. She met her husband, Daniel, in seminary, and graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC. She has served several churches, a non-profit organization, and was a part-time hospital chaplain during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In her spare time, Pastor Anna loves to ski, rock climb, read, and do just about anything in the arts. She and Daniel also love to hang out with their son, Desmond, and their adorable pets.
